The boys all LOVE, I mean laugh hysterically, at the show Wipeout! It really is super funny to watch! So I decided that we were going to have a Wipeout birthday party and do an obstacle course in the backyard. (You may now insert a HUGE sigh from Mike as I share this idea because he knows that it means lots of work for him!!!) But seriously Mike is amazing! He does always end up doing a lot of work and helping me clean a ton and he is such a good sport about it. These boys are lucky to have such a great dad!
The birthday boys with their Wipeout Birthday cake!
A BIG thanks to my friend Alissa, who helped me decorate this cake! It was really fun :)
The obstacle course: You started by going down the blow up water slide (which I got at a garage sale the week before!!), then you crawl under the jump rope over the bucket and under the next jump rope and over bucket while being sprayed with silly string...
Next you go down a slide with bubbles and water poured on it to make it slick, onto a tarp with bubbles poured on, into a goal filled with balloons. Some balloons would pop each time! It was super fun watching kids slide down this!
Then on the wiggle rider under the trampoline to the other side and back...
Then down another slippery slide into a pool to finish! It was so fun to watch the kids do the obstacle course!!!
I totally forgot the candles but thankfully my neighbor had some and even a 4! So we put 6 candles on each side for the twins and a 4 in the middle for Davis.
Even Kara got a present :) We did the obstacle course, jumped on the trampoline and even played some wii. Rain has been in the forecast pretty much every day for the last couple weeks and I realized I better start praying about the weather. I'm not kidding, Friday was the only day that no rain was forecasted!!! God is so cool, how He even cares about the little things like birthday parties! It was so fun having all the kids hanging out here and I know all the boys had a blast! Happy Birthday to my 3 precious boys! I could not ask for three better boys that I love so very, very much!!!

Now that you have that water slide, I think we might just have to vacation at your house every summer! So fun! The party looked amazing!!

ReplyDeleteThanks everyone! Maryanne...the cake was easy and this cake I actually cheated on! I had a coupon so I got the sheet cake from grocery store and I chose the colors they used to frost cake. Then a friend and I decorated the top with homemade fondant. The fondant is SUPER easy to make! If I can do this, anyone can! :)
